Manuel A. Grossman was grad-
uated from Officer Candidate
School, Camp Barkeley, Texas, and
on Dec. 1 was commissioned a
second lieutenant, Medical Admin-
istrative Corps, Army of the U. S.
Lt. Grossman was inducted into
the army on March 24, 1941, and
had attained the rank of techni-
cal sergeant when accepted at
0. C. S. Included in his period of
Service are 14 months in the
Asiat'c-Pacific Company area. Lt.
G•ossman's mother is Mrs. Tillie
Grossman, 2449 W. Grand Ave.,
Detroit. He makes his home with
his sister and brother-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. David J. Cohen.

In addition to the skit, Mrs.
Jerome Kanter, chairman of the
Red Cross unit, will present merit
stripes to those in the unit who
have put in 200, hours or more
in knitting or sewing for the past
year.
