Call CAdillac 7478 STOCKHOLM (FNS). — The Ministry of Justice announced here this week that it had recom- mended the enactment of legisla- tion by the Swedish Parliament outlawing anti-Semitism and ban- ning racist propaganda. The recommendation was con- tained in the report of a legis- lative study made by the Swedish Ministry of Justice. The report urged the incorporation into the Swedish legal code of a law mak- ing it a crime, punishable by im- prisonment, for any person or group of persons to disseminate rumors and propaganda false against, or to insult or slander, individuals or groups of any faith, Frederik Storem, former mayor of Stockholm, and several mem- bers of the Riksdag expressed the opinion that the Swedish Par- liament would act favorably on the recommendation at its current session. They also expressed the belief that the recommendation of the Ministry of Justice stemmed from a desire to put a prompt halt to the violent agitation which has been carried on by small Swed- ish Nazi groups since the influx of Jewish refugees from Den- mark.
