At its next regular open meet-
ing to be held Tuesday, Oct. 12,
at the Educational Center, Lin-
wood and Burlingame, Detroic
Louis Marshall Lodge, B'nai
Bnai Brith, will have as its guests
Judge William Friedman and
Isaac Franck, executive director
of the Jewish Community Coun-
cil. The meeting will commemo-
rate the 100th anniversary of
the establishment of the order
and will include the installation
of officers of the A. Z. A. chap-
ter as well as the initiation of
new members in the junior order,
according to David I. Rosin, pres-
ident of the lodge.
Judge Friedman will greet the
lodge on the occasion of the an-
niversary and conduct the in-
stallation of the A. Z. A. officers.
Mr. Franck is expected to review
the current book, "Under Cover".
It is planned that the course of
the program will symbolize the
traditional principles of the order,
its past service and the founda-

tions for the future, in a review
of the history of the past 100
years and the installation of the
new members of A. Z. A., accord-
ing to William B. Chatman, pro-
gram chairman.
At its last open meeting, Louis
Marshall Lodge was addressed by
representatives of the Civilian
Defense Corps, the United States
Treasury, and the Jewish War
Veterans, in a program dedicated
to the war service of the lodge
and its two women's groups, the
religious pioneers of Palestine are fighting and toiling to prepare

To Be Guest Speaker
Detroit Institute of Arts will
be the scene of the culmination
of the annuaal honor roll cam-
paign of the Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah, Tuesday, Oct. 12, at
2 p. m.
Mrs. David Greenberg of
New Yor
York, a member of the na-
tional organization and former
treasurer, will be guest speaker.
Mrs. Greenberg was Hadassah
delegate to the World Zionist
Organization in 1931, 1933 and
1939, and has acted as chairman
of the Palestine committee of
Hadassah. Mrs. Greenberg was
chairman of the National Youth
Aliyiah committee for six years
and has a wide knowledge of
Zionist affairs.
Igo Guttmann, noted European
tenor, will present a musical pro-
gram accompanied by Mrs. S. Q.
Kesler. Mr. Guttmann, who made
his debut in New York Town
Hall in 1942, had sung leading
roles in Austria, Germany, Switz-
erland, Holland, Rumania, France,
Hungary and Russia. At present
he appears on a weekly program
over a New York radio station.
Money raised through this
campaign will be used to carry
on Hadassah's traditional activi-
ties in Palestine and foster an
educational program in America.
