Rabbi Leon Fram To
Report on Convention

In the course of the Sabbath
Eve Services of Temple Israel
next Friday night, July 16, Rabbi
Leon Frain will speak briefly on
the subject, "Reform Judaism and
Zionism." He will report the great
controversy of this topic which
took place at the meeting of the
Contrail Conference of American
Rabbis in New York, from which
he has recently returned.
The Sabbath Eve Services of
Temple Israel are held in Room
14 of the Boulevard building, 3076
East Grand Boulevard, every Fri-
day night at 8:30. In the absence
of Cantor Robert S. Tulman, who
is on vacation, Mrs. David Gold-
berg has been leading the Con-
gregational singing at the sum-
mer services of Temple Israel.

"Rhythm on the Islands"
Revue at Club Three 666

TAMP ALB

Much of the splendor of Wai-
kiki and other colorful South
Seas locales is brought to life
in Bettie Taylor's new Hawaiian
sepia revue, "Rhythm on the
Islands," at Club Three 666. The
Taylorettes, glamorous dancing
octette, offer the authentic na-
tice dances of these tropical
spots. Ella Mae Waters, sensa-
tional interpretative dancer and
a great favorite in Cuba and
South American capitols, heads
the current cast, featuring Burn-
ham and Blair, comedy song and
dance team; LeRoy and Watts,
novelty dancers; Bobbe Caston,
personality torch singer; Sam
"You'll Love It" Fouche, clever
master of ceremonies, and the
Taylorettes. Highlight of the re-
vue is the ensemble number, "Ha-
waiian War Chant," done en-
tirely in radium, adding a bril-
liant illuminating effect to the
colorful costumes of the Taylor-
ettes. Teddy Buckner and his
orchestra contribute their swing
rhythms for dancing and the re-
vue. Joa-Anna's songs and George
Saunder's organ melodies make
a delightful intermission combina-
tion.
