Meeting at Shaarey Zedek on Tuesday, June 2
A special meeting of the De-
troit Chapter of Hadassah will
be held at the Kate Frank Audi-
torium of the Congregation
Shaarey Zedek Tuesday, June 1,
at 2:00 p.m., for the purpose of
electing nominees and delegates
to the forthcoming American Jew-
ish Conference. All Hadassah
members who read this notice are
urged to apprise other members
of this important meeting as it
was found necessary to call the
meeting after the regular monthly
bulletin was out, and it was too

Regular Sabbath
Classes To Be Held by
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah
Dr. Samson R. Weiss, dean of
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah, an-
nounces that regtlar Sabbath
afternoon classes have been or-
ganized for all students of the
Yeshivah, combining them in
larger groups.
Four of these classes meet in
the Yeshivah building every Sat-
urday afternoon at 3 o'clock. At
4 o'clock Mincha services are
held, followed by the traditional
Sabbath meal for all pupils. A
fifth group meets in Congrega-
tion Beth Moses, Linwood and
Gladstone, and is led by Rabbi
Ungar. The curriculum of these
special Sabbath classes has been
chosen with the view of imbuing
the students with the spirit of
religious observance.
Sunday, May 23, the Yeshivah
arranged for a Lag b'Omer out-
ing. All 12 classes of the Yeshi-
vah met in River Rouge Park,
and spent the major part of the
day in plays and games.
