Schools will take place on Sun-
day and Monday, June 6 and 7.
This is the week in which
Shavouth takes place, the holi-
day which commemorates the
giving of the Torah on Mt.
Sinai, and it is the most appro-
priate time to celebrate a siyuni,
the completion of a prescribed
course of study.
A choir of boys and girls,
about one hundred voices, is be-
ing especially prepared for these
exercises.
One group of students com-
pleted successfully the elemen-
tary course of study, stressing
mainly the Torah, the Five Books
o f Moses, the earlier prophets,
Jewish history. Two more groups
were successful in completing
the junior high school course
featuring such subjects as the

all-day Institute for the training
of block leaders, on Tuesday, May

Center. The sessions will com-
mence at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.,

necessary to establish a program
