At an impressive candlelight ceremony in the Bnai David
Synagogue, Kalmayne Rottenberg and Pvt. Morris A. Morton
were united in marriage on Thursday evening, April 15. Rabbi
Joshua S. Sperka and Cantor M. B. Gordon officiated.
The altar was banked with southern smilax, gladioli blossoms
and candelabra against a background of palms and cymbodium
ferns. "Because" was sung by Sally Johnson and Tommy Evans
to a harp and violin accompaniment.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dr. Joseph
Rottenberg. Her gown was fashioned of deep ivory satin trimmed
with a yoke of hand-drawn lace. Her veil, which extended beyond
the cathedral train, was held in place by a crown of matching
law and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and
catalaya orchids.
Her bridesmaids were Helen Karshenik, Ethel Saretsky, Betty
Myers and Celia Reznick. The maid of honor was Mildred Gold-
stein, niece of the groom. They were attired in identical blue
lace and marquisette gowns and mantillas. They carried pink
carnations and blue iris. Her junior bridesmaids were Brenda
Borock, Agnes and Anita Silverman, Adrianne Weinert, Renee
Rom and Marilyn Diamond. They carried colonial bouquets.
Saul Kahn attended the groom as best man, and Newton
Rottenberg, brother of the bride, Herbert Ebener and Philip Elkus
were ushers. The groom was accompanied to the altar by Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur A. Gould.
The bride's mother chose a pale blue lace and marquisette
gown accented by a slight train. She wore a formal hat of pink
roses and blue tulle and carried matching fresh flowers.
Dinner and reception followed at the Wilshire Hotel.

For Comfortable Originality
The contrasting 18th Century Town House and the Modern Home are beautiful
examples of good taste and originality in two distinct styles of furnishing. The
first represents a gracious, stately charm, while the latter home is a gem of
comfortable simplicity. The motifs of both are floral—gay flowers in the drap-
eries, on the wall paper and, in the Modern Home, they're flowers actually
growing in several of the window boxes inside the rooms. If you are thinking
of adding new and colorful touches to your home now that it's redecorating
time, you'll find either of these homes a veritable reservoir of ideas for com-
fortable originality.
You are cordially invited to visit the Town House or the eleventh floor and
the Modern Home on the Ninth Floor.
