The theme chosen for discus-
sion during April will be "Pass-
over 1943"—what is its message
of hope and the spirit of peace
and freedom as against the pres-
ent period of grief and despair.
This will be discussed at the fol-

Mr. Long, a former Detroiter,
recently arrived from Beverly
Hills, California, where he was
the manager of the Beverly Hills
Hotel Sand and Pool Club. While
there he instructed children of
many movie stars.
During the World's Fair, Mr.
Long swam in Billy Rose's Aqua-
cade. He was also swimming
coach for the Navy at Norfolk,
Virginia, for three years prior to
that time.
Mr. Long hopes to see many
members of the Center in the
pool, to practice for a water pa-
geant to be given in the near
future. He will also direct ac-
tivities for the USO splash par-
ties, held at the Center pool on
Sunday afternoons.
Personal instruction is avail-
able for Center members during
scheduled hours. Life - saving
classes for male sub-senior and
business and professional groups
will be held from 11:00 to 12:00
noon on Sundays. The women's
life-saving class is scheduled for
Tuesday evening at 8:00.

The Detroit Auxiliary of the
Los Angeles Sanatorium has
