the banquet by his co-chairman,

Actions Committee. He is an
outstanding orator, writer and
student of world affairs and was

brought to the United States by
the Mizrachi Organization of
America and his influence is be-

of orthodox Jewry in this
country.
Rabbi Joseph Lookstein, who
was to have been the principal
speaker, was compelled to cancel
his engagement because of ill

YESHIVATH CHACHMEY LUBLIN'S

ACTIVITIES, PLANS AND PROGRESS

The board of directors of the
Yeshivath Chachmey Lublin, at
Linwood and Elmhurst, issued
the following statement on the
plans and programs being made
by the Yeshivah.
The Yeshivath Chachmey Lub-
lin is progressing, thanks to the
highly qualified faculty with Rab-
bi Rotenberg at its head, and the
untiring efforts of the praesidium,
board of directors, ladies auxil-
iary, and various committees.
Due to the increasing number
of students, a new curriculum
had to be set up. Additional in-
structors had to be engaged to
carry out efficiently the new in-
tensive course of study.
Rabbi Leizer Finkel, of Chi-
cago, a great scholar and educa-
Conal expert, was engaged as in-
, tructor of Talmud and Ethics.
Rabbi Finkel is a graduate of
the Hebrew Yeshivah and a form-
er student of Yeshivath Mir and
Slobodka.
Rabbi Leizer Levin, of this
city, who is well known here, was
appointed executive director and
instructor of Ethics.
Rabbi Levin was one of the
first to give his aid to the Yeshi-
vah by acquainting the public
with the aims and ideals of the
Yeshivah'.
