Rabbi Isaac Stollman
To Address Mizrachi
Midwest Conference

A large delegation headed by
Irving W. Schlussel, president of
the Mizrachi organization of De-
troit, will attend the Midwest
Mizrachi conference to be held
this week end in Chicago.
Important problems confront-
ing the American Jewish com-
munity, and those facing Pales-
tine Jewry will be discussed by
national leaders of Mizrachi.
Rabbi Isaac Stollman will be one
of the speakers at the conference.
The local delegation attending
the conference consists of Daniel
Temchin, president of mid-west
Mizrachi region, Rabbi Isaac Stoll-
man, Isadore Sosnick, Leizer Le-
vine, Meyer Beckman and Jacob
Levine.

Prenzlauer Maternity Aid
Gives to War Chest

At the last meeting of the Eva
Prenzlauer Maternity Aid, $200
was donated to the War Chest.
It was announced that this is
double the amount donated last
year.
Interest now centers on the
coming donor luncheon. Mrs. Louis
Lindenbaum has been chosen
chairman of the Darling Memor-
ial and honor roll, with Mrs.
Morris Solomon as co-chairman.
Mrs. Louis Alper was appoint-
ed ad chairman. Those wishing
to turn in their ads, or want as-
sistance in regard to their ads,
will kindly contact Mrs. Alper, at

The next board meeting will be
held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 1
p. m. at the home of Mrs. Saul
Saxon, 2628 W. Buena Vista Ave.
The next organizational meeting
will be held, as usual, at the
home of Mrs. Fannie Strauss,
3777 Sturtevant Ave., on Tues-
day, Dec. 1, at 1:30 p. m.

Waiters' Ball To Be
Held at Book Nov. 16

The annual waiters ball, which
in the past has been held to raise
funds for th'e building of a home
for the aged workers of the in-
dustry, takes on a new signific-
ance this year.
The 1942 ball will be held at
the Book-Cadillac, Monday, Nov.
16, sponsored by the Hotel and
Restaurant Employes Alliance,
Local 705, AFL, and will be
known as the Waiters, Waitresses
and Hotel Employes War Relief
Ball. Equal shares of all net pro-
ceeds wil go to the United States
Organization, the Navy Relief
Society and the Army Emergency
Relief Fund. Door prizes will con-
sist of $1,000 in war bonds. Mor-
ris Drapkin is general chairman
for the affair.
As in previous years, Detroit's
prettiest waitress will be selected
to reign as queen for the ensuing
year. Ray Correll and his orches-
tra and Mike Falk and his band
will provide the dance music and
headline acts from the various
theatres and night clubs will
