Michigan Synagogue
Conference Nov. 8

23rd Annual Banquet of
J. W. E. W. 0. Nov. 1.

The date for the semi-annual
convention of the Michigan Syna-
gogue Conference has been set
for Nov. 8, to be held at Yeshi-
vah Beth Yehudah, Dexter and
Cortland.
The convention will begin with
a luncheon and proceed with ses-
sions in the afternoon.
Advance notice is given of the
scheduling of this semi-annual
event, which attracts at large at-
tendance of representatives of
synagogues and their women's
auxiliaries throughout the state,

major importance be arranged by
other organizations for that day.

A special meeting of the Jew-
ish Women's European Welfare
Organization was held Monday,
Oct. 5, at the Congregation Bnai
Moshe, Mrs. R. Katzin presiding.
A report was heard on the
Yom Kippur brake sale. Thanks
were expressed to the hostesses,
donors, to the store keepers for
giving the place for sale, and to
the Jewish community for its
support.
Arrangements were made for
the 23rd annual banquet to be
given Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Fort
1Vayne Hotel. Mrs. Sam Osnos is
the chairman and Mesdames Se-
der and Israel, co-chairmen.
