Jewish Themes Feature
First Center Concert
The Jewish Community Center
will open its fall and winter sea-
son with a concert on Jewish
themes, to be presented at the
Center, Woodward at Holbrook,
Tuesday evening, Oct. 13, at
8 :30.
Nathan Vizonsky, nationally
known dancer, who is the first to
bring the Jewish Dance to the
concert stage, will present a
Dance Saga, including the Jewish
Dance of Ancient Days of the
Middle Ages, and Modern Times.
The second artist on the pro-
gram will be Moses J. Silverman,
Cantor of Chicago. Recognized
throughout the country for his
musicianship, Mr. Silverman is
Cantor of Dr. Solomon Goldman's
Anshe Emes Synagogue in Chi-
cago.
Leo Jay Margolin to be
Guest Speaker at Beth
El Sisterhood Meeting
Leo Jay Margolin, ace investi-
gator and correspondent for the
newspaper PM of New York City,
will be the guest speaker at the
opening meeting of the Sisterhood
of Temple Beth El, Monday, Oct.
12, at 2:00 P. M. in the Brown
Chapel. The meeting will follow
a dessert luncheon to be served
in the Social Hall at 1:30 P. M.
Mr. Margolin will discuss "Ene-
mies Within and Without." Be-
cause Mr. Margolin has just re-
turned from England and will

Long known as a writer who
pulls no punches, Mr. Margolin
joined the staff of PM as the first
writing member of its editorial
staff in 1940. He has also served
on the staffs of the New York
Times, the New York World Tel-
egram, the New York Herald
Tribune, and the United Press.
In his investigations and wri-
ings for the last five years, he
has uncovered and exposed the
undermining efforts of the Fat.-
ist machinery in the United
States. It has been revealed that
Mr. Margolin's sensational reve-
lations concerning the Nazi and
Italian consular officials, were re-
sponsible in no small measure for
the United States order, in 1941.
