10 Young Israel Elects Abbe Levi National Vice-President Word has been received here of the selection of Abbe A. Levi, last year's president of Detroit Young Israel, as vice president for the state of Michigan of the national Jewish religious youth organization. Mr. Levi was a member of the delegation of 15 young men and women who rep- resented the ,local branch at the 30th annual convention of the movement held in Atlantic City several weeks ago. He also serves as chairman of the Regional Council for the Mid-West, which includes groups in Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Cleveland and Cincinnati. As head of the membership committee for Young Israel of Detroit, Mr. Levi will have charge during the coming year of a number of activities designed to acquaint the Jewish youth of this city with the aims and purposes of the organization. While no meetings are being held during July and August, next Sunday's (July 26) outing to Bob-Lo will serve as one such occasion. Mem- bers of the general organization, as well as the boys and girls of the sub-senior, intermediate and junior groups will join in the day's social and athletic program. Other Jewish young men and wo- men are invited to participate and will be welcomed by a committee at the Woodward Ave. Pier at 9:00 a. m. The boat will leave at 10 o'clock.
