July 12, at the Congregation

At this meeting there was sent
out by cable to Palestine $90.00
for two orphaned families, also
relief was given to orphaned
families in Cuba.
It was decided to give $175
to the Vaud Ilatzoh for one
steamship ticket to bring a boy
from Shanghai.
Arrangements were made for a
Tag Day to be given Sunday,
July 12, at Mt. Clemens.
Arrangements were also made
for a picnic to be given Sunday,
July 26, at Palmer Park.

Campers Arrive at
Tamakwa for Season

The Camp Tamakwa Special
train arrived at Algonquin Park
Station early on the morning of
July 3 with a train load of
happy, enthusiastic boys raring
to get started on their eight-
week camping season.
Upon arrival at the boat land-
ing, which is seven miles from
the station, the boys were greet-
ed by the entrancing sight of 24
canoes tied one behind the
other in perfect formation. The
boys were placed in the canoes
and without further ado, start-
ed on the 1 1/2-mile journey to
camp. They were all thrilled by
the thick forests of overgreen
trees which lines the shores of
South Tea Lake, and upon land-
ing at camp they all scurried to
their cabins and immediately be-
gan an investigation of the camp
grounds.
The remainder of the (lay was
spent in acquainting the boys
with camp discipline, the many
buildings surrounding us, the
different sections of the camp,
and the staff members. In the
morning the boys took their
physical examinations and now
they are down at the waterfront
taking their swimming, canoeing
and sailing tests.
