Jews Collects Clothes
of Polish
The Federation
Jews announces that 10,000
pounds of clothing has been
collected. However, the need is
so great that an additional 15,-
000 pounds from Detroit is
needed.
In addition to clothing, funds
for cleaning, packing and ship-
ping must be raised. This is not
an appeal for relief purposes, but
for necessary expenses to ship the
clothing, $2,500 is needed and
we are asking individuals and or-
ganizations to donate as liberally
as they can to expedite the ship-
ments.
Act on this appeal now. Send
usable cast-off clothing to our
office, 9124 Linwood, which is open
daily from 10 to 5 p. m. and
Sundays from 10 to 2 p. m.
The office is closed Saturdays. If
unable to deliver, phone Tyler
7-9650 and it will be picked up.
Mail or bring your donation of
money. Make checks payable to
American Federation for Polish
Jews.

HIS is our side and I sub-
mit it humbly enough. For
a long time it has seemed there
is only one side; the voices of
opponents have been drowned
out by a loud clamor that has
the sound as of all Israel speak-
ing. So that it has been made
to appear that dissident voices
are the shameful expression of
outcast renegades from the
house of Israel.
A great many of us welcome
the articulate rabbis coming
forward to speak for the large
number of Jews—they may be
the majority—who think there
is grave menace to Jewish life
iu Judaism going forth for
political conquest.
It seems to me that these
rabbis should be more than nega-
tive voices of protest. There
should be a pronouncement of
is hat being a Jew really means.
There has been a lot of con-
fusion and the bewildered breth-
len wander in all directions of

thing to the old and almost for-
gotten concept that Judaism has
to do chiefly with the good lift.

A VICIOUS LIE EXPOSED!
In the June 2 and 3 issues of the Detroit News, there appeared an ad in their
classified columns which asked for a Gentile bookkeeper. This advertisement
was purported to have been phoned into the office of the Detroit News by our
firm! This advertisement was inserted without our knowledge and without our con-
sent. In proof of this statement we show herewith a copy of the letter from the
Detroit News absolving us of any blame. After an exhaustive investigation, we can
arrive at but one conclusion—it is the work of a fiendish mind intent upon casting
discredit upo the fair name of Wolverine Ginger Ale Co.
For the sake of fair play, we ask you to read all the facts?
