Rodin Club to Close Season
With Card Party June 24

The Rodin Club will close its
season with a dessert, Mah Jong
card party to be given Wednes-
day, June 24, at 1:30 . m. at
Pereira's, 9925 Dexter Blvd. All
proceeds will be used for refu-
gees. Mrs. Nathan Fishman, pres-
ident of the organization, is chair-
man of this affair, and is being
assisted by the entire member-
ship. Door prizes will be awarded.
An invitation is extended to all.

Cedar Point's 2nd Week

The final echoes of the rhy-
thms, drums, and slow-beat tem-
pos of Gene Krupa and his or-
chestra will be hurried away into
the ether to make room for the
muted "Sugar Blues" of Clyde
Al•Coy, his orchestra, and his
grand aggregation of entertain-
ers, on Saturday, June 20, in
the Grand Ballroom at Cedar

Install Officers

Election and installation of of-
ficers of the Women's League for
Sabbath Observance will take
place on Monday afternoon, June

Zedek Synagogue. Rabbi A. M.
Hershinan will install the officers.
"The Moon Is Down," the new
book by John Stvinbeck, will be
reviewed by Mrs. .1. S. Sperka.

class is now meeting at seven
o'clock on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings in the Anion DeRoy
Memorial, 8904 Woodward Ave.,
according. to Frederick S. De-
Galan, director of the depart-
ment of adult aducation of the
Detroit Board of Education. The
class is part of the WPA Adult
Education Project. A certificate,
which may be taken to the nat-
uralization bureau, is given upon
completion of the course.
