Julius M. Singer Denies
Discrimination Charge
JULIUS M. SINGER
In the classified columns of
the Detroit News in their issue
of June 2 and 3, there appeared
an advertisement asking for a
'Gentile bookeeeper. This ad-
vertisement was purported to
have been inserted by the Wol-
verine Ginger Ale Co. of which
Julius Singer is president.
Mr. Singer vehemently denies
the charges and attributes this
slanderous innuendo to the work
of an individual or individuals
bent on casting discredit upon
him and his firm. To support
this contention, Mr. Singer dis-
plays a letter front the Detroit
News (which appears on another
page) absolving him of any
blame.
Mr. Singer points out that his
firm has been in existence for
30 years and that they have
always enjoyed a fine patronage
from the Jewish community.
He, personally, is an ardent
Zionist and a firm believer in
the upbuilding of the Jewish
homeland. He is also an active
member of the Bnai Brith,
Gewerkshaften, Jewish Workers
Alliance and Cong. Mishkan Is-
rael. A contributor to the Allied
Jewish campaigns and all other
worthy causes, he feels that
anyone guilty of such an act
would be traitorous to his peo-
ple. Mr. Singer is offering a
cash reward of $250 for infor-
mation leading to the identifi-
cation of the guilty parties.
