most representative Jewish lay-
men in the United States today.

sored similar laymen's services.
This important project serves to

present an evening program in

Week on Saturday, April 25, at
8 :30 p. m. at the Y.W.C.A. Mrs.

the program with greetings and

The Choral will sing a group
of selections under the direction
of Charles Frederick Morse. The
Drama Group will present a
one-act play entitled, "Thurs-
days at Home" directed by Don-
ald Armand. A student of the
Junior Group will give a piano
selection. The Student Group
will present an ensemble com-
posed by William Milner. Mrs.
Abe Brasch will sing several
vocal selections.

Camp Tamakwa Acquires
Parent Lodge

Board of the Detroit Mizrachi
was held at the home of Daniel
Temchin, well known Mizrachi
leader, Sunday, April 11, and
plans were made to increase the
membership. A concerted drive
in the synagogues was planned
and the following members were
appointed to the speaker's com-
mittee to spread the Mizrachi
doctrine : Daniel Temchin, Mey-
er Beckman, Rabbis Isaac Stoll-
man, Max J. Wohlgelernte•,
Jacob Hoberman and Abraham
Danzig; also Louis Dann, Aaron
Tilchin, Judah Lachar and Israel
Levinson. Isidor Sosnick was
named chairman of the mem-
bership drive committeee.
Irving Schlussel, newly elect-
ed president of the Detroit Miz-
rachi, in announcing the appoint-
ment of the committee stated :
