Professor Pritchard of
Wayne Will Address
Council of Women

The regular monthly meeting
of the Detroit Section of the
National Council of Jewish Wo-
men is to be held Monday, April
6, at 2 p. m., at Temple Beth El.
Because of war duties, Mr. and
Mrs. Rolf Kaltenborn, who were
scheduled to appear on the pro-
gram, are unable to keep their
appointment. Instead, Council
will present Professor Earl
Pritchard of Wayne University
who will speak on the "Far
East."
After studying at Oxford Uni-
versity as a Rhodes scholar, Pro-
fessor Pritchard was formerly
associated with Columbia Uni-
versity. He has been a professor
of history at Wayne University
since September, 1940. One of
the founders and editors of the
Far Eastern Quarterly, Profes-
sor. Pritchard is an eminent auth-
ority on far eastern history.
Mrs. Joseph B. Gaylord, pres•
ident of the Council, reminds
members that this is a bundle
meeting and that it is a patriot-
ic duty to clean out attics and
