(JPS) — A coura- geous Dutch priest who arranged a special service in his church for the Jewish victims of Nazi oppression in Holland a n d throughout the continent gave the most recent example of Dutch heroism and stubborness in the fight against the German con- queror, according to a story in the Dutch Nationale Dagebladt. The paper tells of the priest in the city of Gronigen who with his congregation prayed for the deliverance of the Jewish people from Nazi persecution. What happened to the brave cleric was not reported by the paper. of a nation-wide campaign to raise $600,000 for settlement of Jews in San Domingo was launched here at a dinner given by Leon Falk, Jr., president of the San Domingo Republic Set- tlement Association, a body founded to promote non-sectarian colonization in Sosua and else- where in the Dominican Repub- lic. Pittsburgh was asked to ac- cept a quota of $35,000. Mr. Falk declared that the colonization enterprise should be regarded as a "test-tube experi- ment" to prove that Jews could make good colonists.
