Monuments of Character

The combination of all these
things means that the comfort
of passengers is greatly increased
by insulation against noise, heat,
cold and drafts and the absorp-
tion of vibration.
Rubber insulated body mount-
ings are used to secure the body
to the frame at all points where
noise or vibration might develop.
These spool-shaped insulators
cushion the body, dampen vibra-
tion, eliminate squeaks and rat-

ties and deaden road noises.
As a result of these advanced
improvements, Chrysler bodies
ate today the quietest and most
comfortable that ever have been
achieved. In addition to the con-
struction of the body itself, ad-
ditional quiet has been secured
by a new method of attaching in-
struments to the instrument
panel and of bracing the panel
to the cowl, thus eliminating
points at which squeaks might
develop.
