fairs Minister of the Czechoslo-
vak Government-in-Exile, Dr.
Stephen S. Wise, Rabbi Abba
Ilillel Silver and other leaders
will be the principal speakers at
the conference and the memorial
assembly.
The Menahem Ussishkin Me-
morial, according to plans formu-
lated by the Zionist General
Council, the board of governors
of the Keren Kayemeth and the
board of directors of the Jewish
National Fund of America, is to
have the form of a new land
tract in Galilee upon which new
settlements are to be added to
the group of settlements known
as "Metzudoth Ussishkin". The
sum of $1,000,000 is to be raised
through the medium of tradition-
al fund raising methods for the
acquisition of 40,000 dunams of
land. Zionist organizations and
groups have been urged to im-
plement the "Land for Victory"
program which has been planned
in connection with the observance
of the Jewish National Fund's
40th anniversary year and to
dedicate the proceeds to the
Ussishkin Memorial Fund. In-
scriptions of the names of Mena-
hem Ussishkin and of the late
Supreme Court Justice Louis D.
Brandeis in the Golden Book of
the Jewish National Fund have
also been recommended to par-
ticipating individuals, organiza-
tions and communities.
