College) on Wednesday evening.

Their diplomas will entitle them
to enter the Rabbinital Depart-
ment of the only advanced school

brew Schools will be launched this
year at a meeting on Wednesday
evening, Nov. 12, in the confer-
ence room of the Rose Sittig
Cohen School.
Rudolph Zuieback, chairman of
this committee, and Dr. Albert
E. Bernstein, his associate, have
made all preliminary plans and
have laid the ground work for
this important meeting.
The membership project of the
United Hebrew Schools is a com-
bination of education and finance.
During the meetings, at which
plans of the work are formulated,
much time is devoted to educa-
tional discussions.
The approach made by members
of this committee is not merely on
the basis of obtaining the $5
membership fee, but also for the
purpose of acquainting the people
with the problem of Jewish edu-
cation in general, and the scope of
the work of the United Hebrew
Schools in particular.
The meeting will be terminated
with a social hour arranged by
Mr. and Mrs. Zuieback.

of the Bnai David Sisterhood
will be held on Nov. 25 at the
Fort Wayne Hotel.

direction of Flo Schurgin. The
membership committee's monthly
motto is "A member in Novem-
ber is a winner for a banner
year."
Plans are being made for
Junior Hadassah's "Fiesta Frolic"
to be held on Sunday, Nov. 30,
at Hotel Statler. For additional

The annual birthday dinner of
Purity` Chapter was held Oct.
27. Officers of Wayne County
Ass'n, as well as the worthy
matrons and worthy patrons of
other Wayne County chapters and
the past matrons and past patrons
of the chapter, were the guests
of Purity Chapter.
Dinner was served. Western
String Orchestra of the Ford
Rotunda entertained during the
dinner hour and during the cele-
bration of cutting the birthday
cake. Many past and present
grand officers were present. Six
candidates were initiated to be
known as the Rhea Cashman Glad-
win Class.
A memorial service was held
following the dinner for membet
who have passed away during the
year.
The annual meeting and elec-
tion of officers was held Nov. 3.
The meeting was presided over
by Mrs. Pauline Mendelssohn,
present worthy matron, and Har-
old Fuhrer, present worthy pa-
tron.
Mrs. Fae Stalburg is the newly
elected worthy matron and Jo-
seph Feldman is the newly elected
worthy patron of the chapter.
The public installation of offi-
cers will be held in the large
auditorium of the Eastern Star
Temple 80 W. Alexandrine, on
Monday, Nov. 17, at 8 p. m. The
public is invited.
