Henry Bernstein's Name Stricken from French Legion NEW YORK (JPS) — The Vichy Government has stricken the name of Henry Bernstein, noted French-Jewish dramatist, from the French Legion of Honor together with the names of Gen- eral Charles de Gaulle, Free French leader, and Miss Eve Curie, whose mother and father discovered radium. Informed of this action, Mr. Bernstein, who is now in this country, said: "I have not been wearing my French decoration, although Vichy forgot to take away my honors when they took away my citizenship. I did not with to ap- pear to be profiting by the neg- lectfulness of the present French puppet government. I now feel tree to wear it again."
