Echoing the
GENEVA (JPS)
lead from Berlin, the Rome press
joined in charging President
Roosevelt with responsibility for
the sinking of the Greer. The
President's insistence on freedom
of the seas for America was met
with a barrage of the adjectives
for which the Italian papers are
now notorious. According to such
miners as the Lavoro Pascista.
it is the "Jewish gang" behind
Roosevelt that is responsible for
his "warmongering acts". It adds
that "the moral baseness of the
leaders of the Jewish plutocracies
is now known and none of their
next decisions will be surprising
since their aim is perfectly
clear".
