Loud•Mouthed Slovakian Jew-
Baiter Revealed as Thief
GENEVA (JPS) — Following
German occupation of Slovakia,
the official Government newspa-
per, The Slovak, became a viru-
lently anti-Jewish organ. Its edi-
tor, Augustin Moravek, was noted
as an implacable foe of the Jews
and an ardent supporter of the
government's expropriation policy.
For nearly two years he flour-
ished. During all that time Mo-
ravek ranted against Jewish pos-
session of Slovak lands, and de-
clared that all Jewish property
should be turned over to qualified
Aryans.
Today the people of Slovakia
understand whom he meant when
he referred to qualified Aryans.
In most cases, he referred to
himself.
