Before taking his pres- ent position with the National Jewish Welfare Board of New York, Mr. Fishman was director of the United Jewish Community of Harrisburg, Pa., which is con- sidered one of the models of Jewish organization in America. He is the originator of "The Har- risburg. Plan," and Harrisburg's Jewish Community was organized under his direction. At the election meeting a pro- posed slate of officers and mem- bers of the executive committee for the Jewish Community Council will be brought in by a nomina- ting committee of which Mrs. Joseph II. Ehrlich is chairman. Officers and executive committee members are elected for a period of two years, and those elected at the June 25th meeting will serve until June, 1913.
