Brother of Rabbi Moses Fischer
Is a Famous Scholar

Rabbi Joel Fischer, of Deva,
Rumania, famous as a scholar
and orator, and brother of Rabbi
Moses Fischer, will occupy the
pulpit at Congregation Bnai
Moshe, the first day Passover,
Saturday, April 12.
Rabbi Jacob J. Nathan will
deliver the sermon the second
day, Sunday, April 13.
The newly elected officers and
directors of the congregation will
be installed by Rabbi Moses
Fischer on Sunday morning.
Cantor David Katzman will
conduct services both days, be-
ginning at 8:45 a. tn. and 6:30
in the afternoon.

Women's Auxiliary
Of Home for Aged
At the last meeting of the
Women's Auxiliary of the Jew-
ish Home for Aged, Mrs. Rich-
ard Schulhof, treasurer, was in-
structed to send a check for $400
to the Allied Jewish Campaign,
the Auxiliary's contribution for
the current year.
Four hundred fruit trees of
various kinds were purchased by
the Auxiliary for the orchard
to be planted on the grounds at
the Home.
During the past week 50 dress
shirts were purchased for the
men residents.
Immediately following the Pass-
over holidays, an "Orientation
Tea" is to be held for new mem-
bers, so that they may become
familiar with functions of the
organization.
Mrs. Joseph Rose and her sun-
shine committee are planning a
theater party for the old folks
to be given at Littman's People's
Theater, on the last day of Pass-
over. Mr. Littman has donated
the tickets for this affair.
There will be no general meet-
ing of the Auxiliary during
April, due to the intervention
of Passover. The closing meeting
will be held in May, in the form
of a tea.
