Children's Seder at
Annual Community Center Comedy

Bnai Brith Lodge
In conformity with a tradition

established since its establishment
the Bnai David Religious School
conducts a children's Seder the
Sunday preceding Pesach. This
Sunday, April 6, at 10 a. m., the
Seder will be conducted for about
500 pupils of the school. The
ceremony will be conducted under
the guidance of Rabbi J. S. Sper-
ka. But all the ceremonies are
performed by pupils of the
schools.

Lieut. C. R. Frederick, who
was dean of men for 10 years
at the University of Illinois and
(luring that time cooperated in
numerous activities with Dr. A.
L. Sachar of the Hillel Foun-
dation, will address the Detroit
Lodge of Bnai Brith on Tuesday
evening, April 15, at the Brown
Memorial Chapel of Temple Beth
El.
Lieut. Frederick will speak on
"Selfridge Field" and will illus-
trate his talk with a 45-minute
sound film. The public is in-
vited to this program.

Lodge Convention

Next Monday night Pisgah
Lodge No. 31 of Bnai Brith will
meet in the main auditorium of
the Jewish Community Center,
Louis II. Schostak, president, an-
nounces.
A feature of this business meet-
ing will be a report on the pro-
ceedings of the Bnai Brith tri-
ennial convention which just con-
cluded in Chicago, by local dele-
gates Aaron Droock, past presi-
dent of District Grand Lodge
No. 6, and Samuel W. Leib.
A city-wide initiation of all
local Bnai Brith lodges under the
auspices of the Greater Detroit
Bnai Brith Council will be held
on Sunday, April 20, at Temple
Beth El. Pisgah's degree team
wlil exemplify the initiatory rit-
ual. A speaker of national repu-
tation will talk.
On April 28 Pisgah Lodge will
meet with Women's Auxiliary No.
122 at the Bnai. Moshe.
Last Monday night, at the gen-
eral committee meeting of Pisgah
Lodge, Louis II. Schostak an-
nounced that the Bnai Brith
moonlight will be held on Sunday,
July 13. Ben Rhodes was ap-
pointed general chairman.

Participating in the Seder will
be Robert Solomon, Arnold Fuh-
rer, Sarah Shulman, George Blo-
stein, Sheldon Capp, Sol Levine,
Steward Feldstein, Rita Bricker,
Edwin Lewison, and many others.

sponsors of the religious school,
will be present as guests, and
the special committee of the Sis-
terhood will act as hostesses. The
boys and girls' Scout Troops of
the Bnai David have been in-

The Swami takes a hand in the love affair of the ingenue in
the above comedy scene from "Hold That Pose," an original musical

comedy to be staged at the Detroit Jewish Community Center on
the evenings of April 20 and 21. This year's Community Center
production has been written and directed by Seymour Simons, one
of Detroit's outstanding composers, and Julian Zemon. It is replete
with new melodies, laughs and a chorus trained in sparkling dance
routines. Tickets are 65 cents each and can be secured by calling
