ticians who speak of the machin-
ations of "international bankers."
This is Hitler in America. His
presence here was underlined the
day the President signed the
lease-lend bill by a statement from
the Hitler spokesman in Berlin.
He said that the President had
been aided in drafting the lease-
lend bill by Felix Frankfurter,
an Austrian Jew. This showed,
he said, that the lease-lend bill
was not a defensive measure but
an offensive weapon of the Jews
who are eager to regain control
of Europe.
This was repetitious of all the
whispering that has been heard
in America—in the street cars,
subways and busses, in the res-
taurants and barrooms, on the
banners of pickets, in the
speeches of politicians.

to Speak Wednesday

The public is invited to hear
Prof. Mischa Titiev of the De-
partment of Anthropology of the
University of Michigan discuss
"Physical Aspects of the Jewish
Problem" in the Social Hall of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek, on
Wednesday evening, April 2, at

lantern slides, will debunk that
master bunkster, Hitler, and his
ilk. Prof. Titiev is an authority
on this subject, having made an
intensive study of it and being
engaged in courses in anthropol-
ogy of Semitic peoples at the
University.
Born in Russia, Prof. Titiev
came to this country at an early
age. He attended the Latin School
in Boston and received his col-
legiate training at Harvard Uni-
versity, where he received succes-
sively the Bachelor of Arts, Mas-

ter of Arts and Doctor of Phil-
osophy degrees. He has made in-
tensive research in his chosen
field and has written numerous
articles for scientific magazines.
Among the courses which he
teaches at the University are,
"The Peoples of Asia and their
civilizations"; "Primitive Reli-
gion" and "Problems of Race."
He will demonstrate with his lan-
tern slides many current falacies
relative to physical characteris-
tics of various peoples. Is there
a Jewish face? Have you a "Jew-
ish" nose? Can you tell a Jew
when wou see him? A French-
man? A Turk, or for that mat-
ter any nationality by facial char-
acteristics? Check your conclus-
ions with Prof. Titiev Wednesday
evening, April 2. Everyone is wel-

J.S.S.B. to Vote on
By-Laws on April 6

George M. Stutz, president of
the Jewish Social Service Bu-
reau, announces that amendments
to the by-laws of the organiza-
tion will be voted upon at the
Bureau's annual meeting sched-
uled for April 6.
Article I of the by-laws, on
the purpose of the Bureau, is
being amended by the inclusion
of Section 2, to read as follows:
"The Association shall engage
in family and child welfare work
among the Jewish people of De-
troit and environs and shall fur-
nish case work service to other
social service agencies affiliated
with the Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration of Detroit.
"Article II, Subsection B pro-
vides for an attempt to have
members of Boards of cooperat-
ing agencies selected as members
of the Jewish Social Service Bu-
reau Board. The purpose of this
is to establish closer working re-
lationships with social agencies
with whom the Bureau cooperates.
"Article II, Subsection D in-
corporates into the by-laws the
present practice of having the
president and chairman of the
Board of the Jewish Welfare
Federation serve as ex-officio
members of the Board of Direc-
tors of the Bureau.
"Article II, Section 4, changes
the required number of board
meetings during the year to five
instead of monthly. Special meet-
ings when necessary are also
provided for.
"Article III, Section 2 and
Section 3, incorporates into the
by-laws the present practice of
having two standing committees,
the Case Committee to pass upon
cases and a Personal Committee
to make recommendations to the
board on personnel policies."
