A decade of satisfactory serv-
ice to Detroit housewives is the
achievement of the Hollywood
Curtain Laundry and Cleaners,
3916 Joy Rd.
During this time, the firm has
acquired a reputation for laun-
dering curtains to exact measure-
ments and returning them crisp
and clean, with corners true and
edges straight. As with their
service, their work is careful,
prompt and economical.
According to an official of the
company, housewives are further
permitted to enjoy themselves
when Hollywood does their cur-
tains. "Why should Detroit

Much time is devoted now in
all the branches of the United
Hebrew School to the study of
Passover, to the history of the
departure from Egypt as related
in the Book of Exodus, and to
a careful study of the whys and
wherefores of the ceremonies and
symbols of the Passover service.
The children are also prepared,
not only to be active participants
in the ceremony of the Seder,
but they are taught in such a
manner that they themselves are
capable of conducting the Seder
in an intelligent manner.
It has already become tradi-
tional with the schools to stage
Passover plays during the inter-
mediate days of Passover. Ac-
cordingly, affairs will be arranged
as follows: The pupils of the
Central High School will stage
their play on Monday evening,
April 14, the first day of Chol
Ha-Moed, in the auditorium of
the Roosevelt Public School. The

At these camp reunions the
campers and counsellors meet, re-
new their friendships, exchange
experiences and reminisce of the
wonderful times they had in
camp.
This year Camp Mehia will
hold its reunion on Tuesday,
April 15, from 2 to 5 p. m., at
the Shaarey-Z e d ek Synagogue,
Chicago and Lawton. There is no
school during Easter week, and
all the girls and boys and their
friends are anxious to come to
the reunion. •
An enjoyable program has been
provided. In addition to the pro-
gram of singing and dancing and
other activities, an interesting
colored motion picture of camp
and various activities in and out
of camp will be shown. The chil-
dren will see themselves at work
and at play. Mrs. Benjamin B.
Knoppow, who is in charge of
arrangements, invites all parents
who are interested in an up-to-
date camp for their children to
come to the reunion, and to bring
the youngsters.
For information about camp,
call Townsend 8-8687, or address
Mrs. Ellen Bercovich Knoppow,

ing newspapers, Cody has made
an admirable record as an at-
torney and a Circuit Court
Commissioner, a position he has
held since 1936. He is also a
graduate of the Detroit College
of Law.
Known for his l i b e r al and
progressive policies, Judge Cody
has instituted many reforms and
innovations as Circuit Commis-
sioner. He has ordered constables
not to evict indigent families over
week-ends or on holidays and has
carried out a policy of granting
time extensions for people to find
satisfactory new quarters when
they are forced to vacate their
homes. He also has permitted
only attorneys or property own-
ers to appear before the court,
whereas formerly stenographers
and clerks had been allowed to
represent companies.
Judge Cody is an active mem-
be• of the Highland Park Good-
fellows, served on the Highland
Park charter commission, and is
now president of the Michigan
State Association of Circuit
Court Commissioners. He believes
that his work as Circuit Commis-
sioner has been an adequate ap-
prenticeship for Circuit judgeship
and is seeking election in the
April vote.
