Farm School
Breaks Ground
For New Chapel
At the 41st annual commence-
ment exercises of the National
Farm School on Sunday after-
noon, March 23, ground was
broken for a new chapel.
The new building is being
planned along modest lines. The
exterior will be similar in char-
acter to the general plan of the
buildings on the campus, and in
keeping with heir rural surround-
ings. The inerior will be deco-
rated in simple but effective
taste to stimulate an atmosphere
of reverence and meditation.
Building plans contemplate the
use of the original chapel as part
of the completed structure.
In charge of the project is
Mrs. Joseph Krauskopf, widow
of the late Rabbi Joseph Kraus-
kopf, who founded the school in
1896. A fund which is deemed
adequate to start building opera-
tions has already been sub-
scribed, and Mrs. Krauskopf has
accepted the charge of raising
the remainder of the necessary
funds through a plan of sub-
scription to Memorial Pews.
