"DOS PINTELE YID" SUNDAY Group to Present
Play Wednesday The Rosenwald Post No. 218

Testimonial Performance for Two Actors Tuesday;
Draw Large Crowds at Revivals

Abraham Littman, manager of
Littman's Yiddish People's Thea-
ter, 12th and Seward, announces
that Boris Thomashefsky's out-
standing operetta, "Dos Pintele
Yid", will be presented by the
entire cast Sunday matinee and
evening.
The revival of this great play
is expected to draw overflow
audiences. New scenery has been
secured for the production, and
the great songs of the play are
expected to increase the popu-
larity of the cast now appearing
at Littman's, with Nathan and
Rose Goldberg and Jacob and
Betty Jacobs in the star roles.
On Tuesday evening, a testi-

monial evening will be given in
honor of two members of the
cast, Witte Dubrov and Harold
Miller, and "The Little Thief"
("Die Kleine Ganevte") will be
staged.
Large audiences have acclaim-
ed recent productions at Litt-
man's, and one of the great sur-
prises of the season was the
staging of "Joseph and His
Brothers" during the past week-
end. The revival of this Biblical
operetta, with all its attendant
factors—with live sheep on the
stage and attractive costumes and
scenery—was an especially thrill-
ing event for the Yiddish thea-
ter-goers.

A meeting of the Detroit
Women's Division of American
Jewish Congress will be held at
the Detroit Leland Hotel, Wed-
nesday, March 12, at 1:45 p.
