MARIAN ANDERSON CONCERT JAN. 16

JERUSALEM. (Palcor Agency)
-Forty Polish Jews, part of a
group of 277 who had been in
Lithuania and who are now en
route to Palestine via Turkey
and Syria, have arrived here.
Twenty-seven others are travel-
ing here through Siberia, Japan
and India.
That Palestine is serving as the
principal refuge for Polish Jews
who have been forced to leave
their country by the Nazi inva-
sion was disclosed in a report
by Eliahu Dobkin, head of the
Jewish Agency's Immigration De-
partment, in an address to a
gathering of communal workers
meeting in connection with relief
for Polish Jewry.
