To Aid Greek War Relief

Dr. Wise, in a message to the
Assistance Committee for Ref-
ugee Israelites of Greece, made
known that the American Jew-
ish Congress would ask Ameri-
can Jews throughout the coun-
try to contribute to Greek war
relief needs.
The action of Dr. Wise fol-
lowed the receipt of a cablegram
appealing for such atisistallce
from the Greek Jewish Refugee
Organizations whose headquar-
ters are in Athens, Greece.
The request of the Greek or-
ganization urged that all Jewish
communities in North and South
America contribute their moral
and material assistance to the
Greek cause. The assurances of
help were sent in a cablegram
by Dr. Wise, who received a
