The Ladies' Auxiliary of the
Kvutzah Ivrith had annual elec-
tion and the following new offi-
cers and directors were elected:
Mrs. A. D. Markson, president;
Mrs. A. Winokur and Mrs. Sam
Leinoff, vice-presidents; Mrs. Abe
Panush, treasurer; Mrs. S. Schu-
biner, recording secretary; and
Mrs. Ruth Rubenstein, financial
secretary. Board of Directors:
Mesdames I. Rabinowitz, Philip
J. Gorzeck, A. Silberman, A. Rap-
port, B. Friedgood, A. Hassin,
S. Chaikin, S. Munch, Abraham
DeRoven, A. Rosenblum, B. Lip-
son, B. Stein and G. Garber.
The Ladies' Auxiliary meets
twice a month in the homes of
members. They generally have a
lecture on a Jewish topic.
The main function of the Auxil-
iary is the annual luncheon. This
year it will be held on Chamisho
Osor b'Shvat, Wednesday, Feb.
12, 1941. They contribute liber-
ally to the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign. They assist the Kvutzah
in the support of the Hadoar and
the Hadoar Lalloar, they lend
support to the Hebrew writers in
Palestine, and cooperate in every
way with the Kvutzah Ivrith in
all their cultural and social en-
deavors.

Rabbi Jehudah M. Cohen, the
new director of the Bnai Brith
Hillel Foundation at Ann Arbor,
will deliver a short talk. Rabbi
Cohen received his A. B. degree
at the University of California.
He was ordained at the Jewish
Institute of Religion in New York
City. He has spent six years in
Los Angeles as director of the
Jewish Centers Association super-
vising activities at two centers.
A nationally known Bnai Brith
personality who will be in the
city on this date to address an-
other group will be a guest dur-
ing the evening. A special invi-
tation has been extended to all
Bnai Brith lodges.

the Progressive Ladies Unterstit-
zung Verein installed the follow-
ing officers: Re-elected president,

Mrs. P. Zager; financial secre-
tary, Mrs. I. Kruger; treasurer,
Mrs. F. Gorman; board of candi-
dates, Mrs. J. Bronstein and Mrs.

Jacob and Mrs. Freshman; inside
guard, Mrs. Finkelstein; hospi-
talers, Mrs. R. Miller and Mrs.

EMJAYCEES' HIKE SUNDAY
Emjaycees are sponsoring a
hike through the Irish Hills on
Sunday, Dec. 8. The hikers will
meet at the home of Miss Doro-
thyy Fabian, 1988 Elmhurst, at
noon, and from there will drive
to their destination. The hike
will be under the leadership of
Frank Meyers and Miss Dorothy
Fabian. Guests are invited.
