RE-ELECT

President

FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT

ROOSEVELT

A great responsibility rests upon the democratic
forces in the present world crisis.
Having learned the lessons of Munich and Paris
and Madrid, it is the duty of the American people so
to fortify our position that we shall remain in a posi-
tion .to help in the defeat of the dictatorships.
This is not the time to change leadership—espe-
cially in view of the National Administration's bril-
liant handling of the foreign situation.
The retention in power of the Roosevelt Admin-
istration spells assurance that democratic ideals will be
preserved and that we shall continue to follow a
course of peace and security.
Furthermore, the election of the Roosevelt-Wal-
lace ticket will mean the continuation of the policies

1940

HENRY A. WALLACE

of social and economic security and of a decent stand-
ard of living for the Ah2erican people. It will mean
better housing, better defense, assurance of a square
deal to labor
The Jewish National Workers' Alliance goes on
record favoring the re-election of President Roosevelt.
We call upon our friends in Detroit to support us in
this program, to go to the Polls on Tuesday, Nov. 5,
and to vote for the standard bearers of the Democratic
Party.
This is a time for national defense and practical
security for the American people. The election of
Franklin D. Roosevelt and Henry A. Wallace will be
the greatest blow to the dictators and will give hope
to the defenders of democracy. Let us help adminis-
ter this blow.
