Inaugurating a new feature of
education, the Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will hold an "Educa-
tion Day" on Monday, Oct. 28,
starting at 10 o'clock in the Kate
Frank Memorial Chapel of the
Shaarey Zedek.
In the morning a seminar for
all members and leaders of last
year's study groups will be led
by Mrs. J. H. Levin of Pitts-
burgh, a national leader in edu-
cation for Hadassah. Following
this meeting a complimentary
lunch will be served in the so-
cial hall.
Mrs. Levin will address the
afternoon group on contemporary
education problems and all board
members, committee chairmen'and
Honor Roll captains, workers and
committees will be invited .
Mrs. Adolph Ehrlich and Mrs.
Morris Adler, chairman of -edu-
cation, are in charge of arrange-
ments for the day.
On Wednesday, Oct. 30, Hadas-
sah will hold another rally meet-
ing at the Jewish Community
Center. Following the luncheon-
ette at 12:30 reports will be
heard from all captains and
workers. Isidore Sobeloff, director
of the Jewish Welfare Federation,
will be the featured speaker.
Hadassah Sabbath will be Sat-
urday, Nov. 9, and will be com-
memorated with an Oneg Shab-
bat at the Shaarey Zedek. Mrs.
Walter Field is chairman and will
be assisted by Mrs. George Fine-
man, Mrs. Allan B. Kramer, social
chairman and Mrs. Abe Kasle,
hospitality chairman.
On Nov. 12, the annual paid
up membership luncheon will be
held.

Verein Plans Annual
Luncheon

The Ladies Auxiliary of the
Mlawer Verein will meet Nov. 1,
at the home of Mrs. Dave Kol-
lin, 3226 Cortland. Plans will be
made for the annual donor lunch-
eon which is to take place on
Feb. 5, at the Wilshire.

ies of monthly youth forums on
topics of contemporary interest
last season, which received a very
wide response from the entire
community. Such current issues
as Jewish education, Zionist, vo-
cational guidance, communal re-
sponsibility were discussed in
town-hall fashion, with a promi-
nent adult leader as moderator.
This year the same procedure
will be utilized with different
topics. The first forum is sched-
uled for Sunday evening, Nov.
17, at the Jewish Center.

affiliate may communicate at the
Jewish Community Center, Madi-

A natural color motion picture
tour of Mexico will be presented
by Branson De Cou, world trav-
eler and lecturer, when he alp
pears in person at the Detroit
Institute of Arts, Woodward at
Kirby, next Sunday afternoon,
Oct. 27, at 3:30 p. m.
Mr. De Cou just recently re-
turned from Mexico where he
visited all the scenic spots well-
known to tourists as well as
many interesting and historically-
important out-of-the-way places.
With his movie camera he re-
corded in natural color the social
and business life of the natives
and the scenic beauty for which
Mexico is famous.

The Mid-Eastern Conference of
the National Council of Jewish
Juniors, will be held in Indiana-
polis, Ind., at the Lincoln Hotel,
Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2
and 3.
Approximately 300 girls from
Detroit, Cleveland, Youngstown,
Cincinnati, Dayton, Terre Haute
and Indianapolis will attend the
sessions.

around the topic "What Can the
Young Jewish Women of Amer-
