the German-American Bund and
other pro-Nazi groups, was ar-
rested and held for questioning
in connection with the July 4
bomb explosion at the World's
Fair which brought death to two
detectives and injuries to two
others.
Detectives, acting on a tip,
raided the Nazi's home where
they found 10 tear gas pistols
with 200 cartridges, a telescopic
blackjack, and scores of Nazi
pamphlets and anti-Jewish post-
ers. The weapons and literature
were of recent German manu-
facture, according to detectives.
Kangesier, who told police
that the weapons were left in
his room by an unnamed friend,
was held without bail on a charge
of violating the Sullivan law.
