Halevy Will Open Sixteenth
Season Next Tuesday

The Detroit Halevy Singing
Society will meet for the first
rehearsal of its 16th season on
Sept. 17. Rehearsals will again
take place in Northern High
School, Room 123, and will start
at 9:30 o'clock each Tuesday
evening.
Dan Frohman, beginning has

musical director, has planned a
varied program of interesting
music for the chorus. This pro-
gram, consisting largely of num-
bers never before sung by the
Halevy, will serve as the basis
for the next annual Halevy con-
cert.
William Gaynian, president, Na-

Fred Alterman, treasurer, and
Gertrude Matrick, financial sec -
retary, head the Halevy execu-
tive board.
