marriage of his niece, Bette
Vineberg, to Harry M. Lui, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Lui, on
Sunday, Sept. 1. After a honey-
moon trip to Buffalo and Niagara
Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Lui will re-
side at 3380 Monterey Ave.

WEISBLUM - SHERMAN
Eve Sherman, (laughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Mayer Sherman of
Grand Ave. became the bride of
Joseph Weisblum, son of Mr. and
Mrs. B. Weisblum of Webb Ave.,
on Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Hotel
Statler. Rabbi Morris Adler per-
formed the ceremony, assisted by
Cantor J. H. Sonenklar.
The bride was gowned in Chan-
tilly lace over bridal satin, de-
signed with a fitted bodice, high
round neckline, with long fitted
sleeves puffed at the shoulders.
The skirt was draped in scallops
at the hemline, and the long train
of the dress was also scalloped.
Her veil of illusion fell from an
Alencon lace cap, and she carried
a garden bouquet of white gladi-
oli, roses and gardenias.
Attending the bride as maid of
honor was Miss Pearl Weisblum,
sister of the groom. Arthur A.
Colman was best man.
Following the ceremony a wed-
ding breakfast was served.
The couple left on a northern
Michigan honeymoon, and upon
their return will make their home
at 13725 LaSalle Blvd.

of MUSICAL ART

David Horowitz, 66, father of
Dr. S. F. Horowitz of Bay City,
died at his home at 715 Nebo-
bish Ave., following an illness
of two weeks. Death was attrib-
uted to pneumonia. Mr. Horowitz
had lived here in retirement the
past several years. He was born
in Rumania April 1, 1874. Serv-
ices were held with Rabbi Pierce
Annes officiating, and the body
was removed to New York for
burial. The widow, Millie, also
survives.

sume fall activities at a meeting
at the home of Mrs. Alter Sillier,
1959 Boston Blvd., on Wednes-
day, Sept. 11, at 12:30 o'clock.
Mrs. S. M. Shore, president, will
preside, and a report will be
given of the splash party and
luncheon held at the cottages of
Mrs. K. Rosenblatt and Mrs. D.
Rothman at Cass Lake on Aug.
27. The organization thanks Mrs.
