Editor, Detroit Jewish Chronicle:
As a constant reader of your
fine paper I have found that
your articles and editorials are
very illuminating. However, the
editorial of Aug. 9 entitled "The
Late Vladimir Jabotinsky" was

lacking in the true perspective
needed to paint a clear picture
of this outstanding Jewish leader.
It was quite apparent that the
author could not hide his bias
toward this statesman, even in
death. Such statements as "his
militarism and conservatism, his
conflict within Zionist ranks and
his bolting from the party" were
deliberately calculated to take
away from Jabotinsky all the
credit due him for giving his life
in the cause of national re-
demption.
Why don't we make peace with
all parties in Zionism and let the
old wounds completely heal,
rather than tear them wide open
as soon as the opportunity pre-
sents itself?
