Max Bodenheimer,
Veteran Zionist
Leader, Dead at 75

JERUSALEM (Palcor Agen-
cy) — Max Bculenheimer, 75-
year-old veteran Zionist leader,
died here.
Bodenheimer, one of those
who collaborated with Herzl
in the development of political
Zionism, participated in the
formulation of the Basle pro-
gram—the definitive enuncia-
tion of political Zionism, as
adopted by the World Zionist
Congress in August, 1897, to
the effect that "the aim of
Zionism is to create for the
Jewish people a home in Pal-
estine secured by public law."
The veteran Zionist, in addi-
tion to having been one of the
founders of the Zionist Organi-
zation of Germany, had the
distinction of being the first
president of the World Keren
Kayemeth (Jewish National
(Fund).

War Guilt Is Again
Placed on Jews
By Hitler

LONDON. (WNS) — Adolf
Hitler pictured himself as a
peace-loving man interested main-
ly in the advancement of culture
and attributed the blame for the
present European struggle to
"Jewish-capitalist war mongers"
in his address before the Reich-
stag.
While squadrons of Nazi bomb-
ing planes raided the British
Isles, Chancellor Hitler advised
Great Britain to accept peace or
face total destruction. The Nazi
Fuehrer's speech, in which he
accused Jews and others of pro-
voking Poland to wage war
against Germany, appeared to
bolster the determination of the
British government to continue
the war until Hitlerism is de-
stroyed.
After enumerating pre - war
