SPOKE HER MARRIAGE VOWS
AT KNOLLWOOD COUNTRY. CLUB

Platter Patter

By SEYMOUR KAPETANSKY

(Varsity 3007: Luna de Jala-
pa, bolero, and Bola Negra, jays;
singers with Spanish orchestra.)
Luna is mildly espagnole, hesi-
tantly sung by Emilio Tuero.
Bola is an ace recording, fiery
music sensitively and keenly put
over by Gabriela Daltas.
(Decca 23152: Daphne and I
Wonder Where My Boy Is To-
night: Django Reinhardt, guitar,
Stephanie Grappelly of French
Hot Club Quintet.)
Superb string swingsters from
overseas in ingenious and ima-
ginative interpolations on (1) a
medium-fast theme setup and (2)
a really speedy tune: excellent
jazz.

Bund Members Join Native
Groups as "Specialists"

Members of the German-Ameri-
can Bund are acting as "special-
ists" in native subversive groups,
according to the Non-Sectarian
Anti-Nazi League, which has
learned that the Bund, which
fears it may shortly be outlawed,
has devised a new technique for
carrying on its activities.
After resigning from the Bund,
an ex-member joins one of the
'native American" organizations,
such as the Ku Klux Klan, which
lets its hoods down when it comes
to welcoming him. Bund members
are considered particularly valu-
able for their knowledge of propa-
ganda methods and their connec-
tions with Fascist groups all over
the world.
Although the Bund, as an or-
ganization, has in the past worked
closely and openly with purport-
eldy "American" groups such as
the "Christian Mobilizers", "'The
