The graduation exercises of
United Hebrew Schools will be
held June 24, 26 and 27.
The Parkside-Midland School
will hold its exercises in the Cus-
ter Public School on Monday
evening, at 8:15 o'clock. The
following boys and girls will re-
ceive their diplomas: Sam Far-
ber, Jeannette Katz, Florence
Marks, Eva Moldawsky, Shirley
Richie, Lawrence Strossky, Osh-
er Tilchin, and Morton Weinger.
The program will consist of
brief talks by the pupils, a vale-

principal, M. Michlin, the in-
structor, N. Ruttenberg, and an
address by the superintendent,

A choir has been rehearsing
for many weeks in preparation
for graduation and Palestine

at the graduation ceremony. The
theme of the pupils' brief talks

as Talmud Torah, Home for

day, June 25, at 8 p. m., at the
Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, Chi-
cago Blvd. and Lawton Ave. This
session will be held in connection
with the annal meeting of the
Rabbinical Assembly of America
which includes 300

cently was elected president of
the Jewish Theological Seminary
of America as successor to the
late Dr. Cyrus Adler. Dr. Fin-
kelstein is also the Jewish mem-
ber of the inter-faith peace com-
mittee recently appointed by
President Roosevelt. He has earn-
ed a national reputation as a
scholar and is the author of a
two-volume work 'The Pharisees',
of 'Akiba' and many other schol-
arly publications. He is also the
Solomon Schechter Professor of
Theology at the Seminary. A
man of great erudition and schol-
arship he is likewise noted for
his ability as speaker and orator.
In addition to Prof. Fingelstein,
an address will be given at this
session by Rabbi Israel M. Gold-
man of Temple Emanu El, Provi-
dence, R. I., on "The Role of the
Seminary in American Jewish
Life." Rabbi Goldman is a lec-
turer at Brown University and
has won for himself a high repu-
tation as teacher and 'communal
worker.
The public is invited to attend
this public session of the Rabbi-
