land. Both the press and radio
threaten revenge in the near fu-
ture.
The entire Jewish community
of Vienna is on the verge of
starvation as a result of the con-
fiscation of food for the use of
the Nazi army, according to a
refugee recently arrived here.
The refugee reported that bread
is a rarity in Vienna and cannot
be had even in the case of sick
persons.

States, according to a document
made public here by the Ministry
of Information.
The French document referred
to the present war as "a scourge
of terror similar to the inroads
of barbarians." "No nation flat-
