Cleveland Home
CLEVELAND, 0. — A $5,000
bequest from the late Mrs. Na-
than L. Dauby of Cleveland will
form the nucleus of a fund to
enlarge Bellefaire's present serv-
ice to include both institution and
foster home care for Jewish chil-
dren in the region outside of
Cleveland.
At their quarterly meeting on
Sunday, April 21, the board of
trustees and directors designated
the Bessie Braham Dauby Me-
morial Fund to be used for "the
care of non-Cleveland children in
boarding homes and holding to-
gether of family units. where in-
stitution care is not indicated."
Maurice A. Enggass of Detroit
was one of the directors in at-
tendance at last week's meeting.

southern Michigan YWCA con-
ference which attracted women
students from six college cam-
puses to the annual meeting in
Wahlenwoods on Sunday, May 5.
Rabbi Zuckerman led the discus-
sion in the commission group on
"Minority Groups and the Ac-
tivity of the Fifth Column in
the U. S." On Thursday, May 2,
he addressed the Congregational
Church on Grand Ledge on the
topic "What Is the Truth About
Palestine?" and spoke before the
Lansing Ministerial Association
on Monday, May 6, on "A Min-
ister and His Reading." The In-
stitute of Jewish Studies, organ-
ized by Congregation Shaarey
Zedek of Lansing and taught by
Rabbi Zuckerman, has attracted
a total of 47 students from a con-
gregation membership of 90. The
Institute will hold its last ses-
sion on Monday evening, May 27.
Congregation Shaarey Zedek of
Lansing will observe Mothers'
and Daughters' Sabbath on Fri-
day, May 10. Rabbi Zuckerman
will give the sermon and mem
bers of the Girls' Club will par-
ticipate in the service. The La•
dies' Auxiliary will hold a Moth-
ers' Day tea on Sunday after-
noon, May 14. Mrs. M. Tanen-
baum and Mrs. J. S. Rozan are
in charge of arrangements.
