The Young Israel Adult School
of Jewish Education that met at
Central High School every Mon-
day night has closed its 1939-
1940 season. The presentation

wider range of subjects next fall.

branches of the United Hebrew
Schools to open classes for be-
ginners, as well as for more ad-
vanced pupils.

BROADCASTS ON STATION WMBC

WMBC has assigned a weekly
period to the Jewish National
Fund for the broadcast of infor-
mation regarding Zionism and
Palestine.
William Hordes, chairman of
the evecutive committee of the
Jewish National Fund Council of
Detroit, is in charge of arrange-
ments for this broadcast in the
course of which the works of all
parties in Zionism will be pub-
licized and explained.
It, is planned, according to Mr.
Hordes, to dramatize Jewish
events and to include musical pro-
gram in the broadcasts.
The Detroit Jewish Chronicle
will cooperate with the J. N. F.
in supplying important news for
these broadcasts.
Mr. Hordes will deliver the ad-
dress on the broadcast this Satur-
day night at 9:30.
The time definitely set for all
these broadcasts, which will run
for several months, is 9:30 p. m.
