The American Jewish Congress
has received word from the World
Jewish Congress in Geneva that
clothing, food and medicine can
be shipped in bulk to Jewish com-
munities in the areas of Warsaw,
Lublin, Radom and Cracow, now
occupied by the Nazis, via the
International Red Cross.
The World Jewish Congress has
established cooperative relations
With the International Red Cross
and together with the Red Cross
has worked out a series of regu-
lations covering shipment of food,

areas. Shippers of such material
are requested to communicate with
the World Jewish Congress at 52

was announced by L. M. Birk-
head, national director of that
organization, which this week be-
gan the extensive distribution of
a 25-page pamphlet entitled "Fa-
ther Coughlin: Self Condemned."
Mr. Rirkhead stated that the ef-
fort would be made simultan-
eously from his organization's
headquarters here and from its
Eastern Regional Office, 103 Park
Ave., New York City.
In a number of charges against
Father Coughlin, the pamphlet,
which bears the imprint of Friends

of Democracy, Inc., as publisher
and distributor, presents docu-
mentary evidence in the form of
photostatic reproductions of ma-
terial taken largely from the Ra-
dio Priest's magazine Social Jus-
tice and from his printed radio
addresses to substantiate its al-
legations.
Exploited Priesthood
Specifically, the pamphlet
charges that Father Coughlin has
"exploited his priesthood to trans-
fer the prestige of the Roman
Catholic Church to his own ideas."
It also alleges that "by his rash
and violent utterances, Father
Coughlin has provoked an increas-
