of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion has been announced. The
executive committee of the
Federation will confer with
Mrs. Ehrlich to insure the dis-
position of the fund in a man-

life interests of Mr. Ehrlich.

H. Ehrlich Memorial Fund
have already been received
from Mr. and Mrs. James
Wineman and the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation staff.

On behalf of the Sholem Alei-
chem Institute, the Women's Club
of the Jewish People's Schools,
Inc., which sponsors and pro-
motes various activities for the
maintenance of the schools, com-
pleted their plan for the annual
$5 dinner-dance to take place
on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 6 p. m.,
at the Fort Wayne Hotel.
A special committee, headed by
Poli Finkelstein, arranged a full
evening of entertainment.
The guest speaker will be the
eminent Yiddish poet, who is
also known as an able lecturer,
Esther Shumiatcher, the wife of
the well known author, Peretz
Hirshbein.
The Sholem Aleichem Institute
has been branching out of late
in many fields, providing an ex-
tensive Jewish education for boys
and girls, as well as establishing
a cultural platform for adults.
The main sources of income
for the Sholem Aleichem budget
are two major projects: The do-
nor dinner-dance and the bazaar,
which is scheduled for some time
in February.

of the Jewish Theological Semi-
nary.
For more than 50 years the
Seminary has been an outstand-
ing institution of higher learning.
Its graduates occupy more than
300 pulpits throughout the land
and represent a great force in

behalf of Israel's traditions. Hun-
dreds of teachers have been
graduated from the Teachers In-
stitute of the Seminary. Its in-
stitute of Inter - denominational
Studies has brought together
Jewish and non-Jewish scholars
on a common platform for an

our people. Its library constitutes
today the greatest collection of
